Thanos and Galactus' Clone Is Secretly Marvels Strongest Weapon
Thanos once created a handful of doppelgangers that had the powers of some of Marvel's strongest characters, with the strongest unquestionably being made from him and Galactus. Yes, the Mad Titan and the Devourer of Worlds seemingly had their DNA spliced together to create Omega, a villain who possessed some ridiculously overpowered abilities, including being more powerful than the beings he was made after.
In The Infinity Abyss (2002) by Jim Starlin, Al Milgrom, and Jack Morelli, it's revealed that Thanos had been creating clones (the Thanosi) of himself in order to gain trusted allies after he formed so many enemies after his quest for Death's love. The Mad Titan created numerous clones that were part android, clone, and "mystical doppelganger." However, after he attempted to make even more powerful clones, he struggled to control them as they had the tendency to take the most destructive paths to accomplish their goals. But, eventually, they were broken free and started to hunt their master.
The Thanosi, were remixed clones of villains and heroes that long plagued Thanos. The five who broke out of containment were Armour (Iron Man), X (Professor X), Warrior (Gladiator), Mystic (Doctor Strange) and Omega (Galactus). Thanos admits that he's concerned with one in particular, as three of them "rival my own might," while another is "lower-level." Although, Omega was a "mistake from that start, one I would have never activated." Omega is said to stronger than Galactus, while also have the powers of Thanos. The clone was a cosmic threat of epic proportions - who much like Galactus, wanted to clench his hunger by feeding on planets.
How does one stop the villain, who has the amped-up combined powers of Galactus and Thanos? It took the unlikely team-up of Thanos, Captain Marvel, Adam Warlock, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and more to blow up his ship, and then use their powers to blind him. The heroes then isolate Omega and Thanos sends his entire armada of remote-controlled battleships to blow up the weakened villain. Since Omega doesn't have his ship, blowing up the planet he was on doesn't feed him and instead helps in his defeat. The fight leaves even Thanos bloodied.
Omega, like the other Thanosi, might have not had the intellect of Galactus or Thanos, but he proved to be quite the threat for Marvel's most powerful cosmic beings. Having the combined power of two of the great villains in the universe made him near-unstoppable. Omega was obviously the strongest clone and nearly defeated his master and Adam Warlock singlehandedly. Thankfully, he was taken down after being left alone and blown to hell. Considering his death isn't shown, it's possible Omega is still out there in the cosmos waiting to get revenge on Thanos. The Mad Titan should be praying he never makes a comeback, as Omega has the power to usurp both him and Galactus as the most powerful villain in the Marvel Universe.
