90 Day Fiancé: Fans Upset Mike & Natalie to Star In Happily Ever After
Just when everyone thought they’d seen the last of Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva’s loveless relationship in the 90 Day Fiancé season 8 finale, a continuation to their sob story has been announced, and fans aren't having it. Mike and Natalie are all set to star in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. With TLC viewers already bored of seeing the other couples in the upcoming season, including Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, could Mike and Natalie’s reveal cost 90 Day Fiancé some fans?
After two seasons worth of a half-baked narrative and a romance that was drier than cardboard, Mike and Natalie finally got married in the season 8 finale. Fans cheered on for the couple to have finally seen some relief in their toxic relationship, but plenty 90 Day Fiancé fans felt a strong whiff of “frauding.” With speculations of Mike having faked the romance for a TLC check and Natalie for a green card, it became evident that they weren't going to last. Now, fans are dreading to see Mike and Natalie on another 90 Day Fiancé season.
Soon after the finale of 90 Day Fiancé season 8, TLC dropped the final trailer for Happily Ever After? revealing the rest of the cast. Fans were particularly pleased to see Brandon with his wife Julia, and Yara declaring Jovi is “stuck” with her after the baby. But then the trailer showed Natalie asking Mike why his mom called her “a h**ker” and upon him scoffing, saying, “I’m not gonna be treated this way.” In the comments, fans showed they’d rather have both Mike and Natalie sent away from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
“Not more Mike and Natalie… please anyone but them,” said one Instagram user, and the comment received over 65 likes. “More Mike and Natalie – super,” said blogger John Yates’ comment, laced with sarcasm. And another TLC viewer wrote how “it’s like watching a movie when you know the ending,” in a season that seems to be never-ending.
Backlash aside, the plot of Mike and Natalie’s upcoming 90 Day Fiancé married life appears to have a more Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson-Debbie Johnson dynamic. With Natalie now having issues with Mike's mother, someone with who she was quite friendly, could this be a manufactured situation? Mike’s mother not being a major part of their story on 90 Day Fiancé is strange at best. Maybe it's Natalie calling butter “unhealthy” in front of Mike’s mom that’s coming to bite her in the back.
