[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer Falcons Set to Open KCAC Postseason Action Saturday Night vs. ...
WICHITA, Kan. – The red-hot Friends University Men's Soccer Falcons will begin postseason play as the fourth-seed and will host the fifth-seeded Southwestern College Moundbuilders in the KCAC Tournament quarterfinals Saturday night (Apr. 10) starting at 7 pm at Stryker Complex in Wichita, Kan.
The Falcons are quite familiar with Stryker, as they won both the KCAC semifinal round and then the championship tilt over top-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan University last season at the same venue.
As they head into the KCAC tournament, the Falcons are playing their best ball of the season, winners of 11 of their last 13 matches overall, including an eight-match unbeaten streak to come in at 11-3 overall.
Southwestern is 8-4-1 on the season and are winners of four of its past six matches.
Friends won the regular season matchup between the schools, as goals by Sergio Ycaza (FR/Saint Petersburg, Florida) and Marcos Gomes (SR/Bello Horizonte, Brazil) snapped a 1-1 tie in the second half to propel the Falcons to the victory.
