No Man's Sky: How to Get More Herox (The Fast Way) | Screen Rant
Herox is a tradeable alloy in No Man’s Sky, and one of the many materials that players will find along their journey. For players that get far enough in the game, they may find that they frequently need certain resources. Tritum is one of them, because running out of fuel in No Man's Sky is a big issue.
Another resource that players may find they need is Herox. There are a variety of ways to obtain Herox. One of the uses for Herox is crafting. Combine one Herox with one Dirty Bronze and one Lemmium and get Geodesite, which is an Enriched Alloy Metal used for crafting Fusion Ignitors. Herox is also one of the materials players may need to repair damaged ships. It is useful as an ingredient for crafting but can also be sold to a Galactic Trade Terminal.
Herox might not be the most important resource in the game, but it is used in certain applications. While Herox has been around since No Man’s Sky first launched, subsequent updates have changed how it is crafted, ways to obtain it, and even its icon. Luckily, Herox isn’t difficult to get for those that know how.
One way to make Herox in No Man's Sky is with a blueprint. Combining 50 Ammonia and 50 Ionised Cobalt gives players one Herox. It can also be refined using a Refiner. Players will use the same ingredients as before but in amounts of 30, and with the choices of Tritium, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Additionally, regular Cobalt can be used in the place of Ionised Cobalt, but players will need double the amount.
When players encounter pirate ships in space, destroy them. They may drop Herox upon destruction. Herox can also be found on planetary surfaces. Players can use their scanners to find Buried Mineral Formations. Mining it gets them a Glowing Mineral. If they crack it open, they can get a random mineral from a selection, one of which is Herox.
If they so choose, they can also save scum. Manually save the game before cracking open the Glowing Mineral, and keep reloading until it bears Herox. With this method, players likely want to gather a few Glowing Minerals to save time. This might seem like cheating, but since No Man’s Sky is mostly a single-player game, it doesn’t affect the galactic economy for other players.
Sometimes Galactic Trade Terminals have Herox for sale, so it’s worth taking a look. Their base value is 25,000 units, but prices fluctuate depending on the system. There are many ways to acquire Herox in No Man’s Sky. Players should choose whichever is most convenient to them at the time so they can quickly get what they need.
No Man’s Sky is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
