RHONY: Bethenny Celebrates Three Year Anniversary With Fiancé Paul
Bethenny Frankel, a former star on The Real Housewives of New York City, recently celebrated her three-year anniversary with fiancé Paul Bernon. The pair began dating during the fall of 2018, shortly before she shot the season 10 reunion for the Bravo series. While she began this new relationship with Paul, viewers were watching Bethenny deal with the aftermath of her ex-boyfriend, Dennis Shields', passing due to a suspected opioid overdose. Despite her love for Dennis, Bethenny knew it was time to move on.
After filming the season 10 reunion, it was announced that the 50-year-old would not be returning to RHONY for season 11. Despite no longer being part of the show, Bethenny went on to have her own reality show on HBO Max and continued to grow her relationship with Paul. The couple parted ways for a few months last year but reunited in early 2021 and got engaged shortly after. Even though she and Paul have been through a few ups and downs, the pair was meant to be.
According to People, Bethenny and Paul celebrated their three-year anniversary last Friday evening at The Grand nightclub in Boston. The two were dancing and drinking champagne in honor of their huge milestone as a couple. They clearly wanted the night to be private, as they both refrained from sharing public declarations of love and date night selfies on social media. Paul has never been one to publically share his love for Bethenny and clearly, she wanted to honor that. Their relationship has been quite the topic of conversation over the past year, and they wanted one night just for themselves.
Bethenny and Paul have come a long way since they began their relationship in the fall of 2018. After her on-and-off relationship with Dennis, Bethenny started using a dating app where she saw Paul for the first time. She revealed that he came "better than advertised" and was excited about the possibility of a relationship with him. The pair hit it off right away and began their relationship quickly after their first date. Shortly after finalizing her divorce from her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, Bethenny announced in March 2021 that she and Paul were engaged after more than two years of dating. Paul popped the question in February, which Bethenny recalled was "very intimate."
Bethenny's relationship with Paul is very sacred to her, and they both wanted their anniversary to be something just for them. They didn't want to make a spectacle of it and wanted the anniversary to be as private as possible. It seems the former The Real Housewives of New York City star succeeded in their intimate celebration.
