Coastal Waters from Montauk NY to Marthas Vineyard extending out to
20 nm South of Block Island...
Nantucket Sound...
Rhode Island Sound...
Vineyard Sound...
* Until 830 AM EDT.
* At 727 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located near Rhode Island Sound, moving northeast
at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Hyannisport, Squibnocket Bight, Nantucket Sound, Menemsha Bight,
Lamberts Cove, Gay Head Light, Nantucket Shoals Buoy, Teaticket,
Vineyard Sound, Vineyard Haven Harbor, Long Point On Marthas
Vineyard, Cape Poge Light, Edgartown Harbor and Point Gammon.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
