Breath of the Wild Player Gets Ambushed By a Swarm Of Lizalfos
A Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player found themselves in a sticky situation after attracting the attention of a swarm of surprisingly coordinated Lizalfos while adventuring in the Nintendo hit. Breath of the Wild is packed with various enemy types that can provide a range of challenges for the player, but combating one foe is always easier than taking on an unexpected group.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one the biggest and most popular games in the longstanding series, offering endless playability long after the main story has been completed. The vast game world is expansive enough to not only include hidden quests, challenges, and collectibles, but also cunning enemies that often behave in unexpected ways. Thankfully, players are able to use the game's toolset to destroy their challengers using unique and creative methods, like exploits and clever tricks used to defeat Bokoblins or even bring down a BOTW Lynel.
Redditor Mantano_04 has shared a clip of their surprising encounter with a pack of Breath of the Wild Lizalfos, who suddenly appeared as if out of nowhere to attack the player. The video shows the player using their bow and arrow against a Lizalfos in the distance, only to be ambushed by a herd of enemies seemingly out to defend their fellow comrade. The hilarious post has seen over 10,000 upvotes at the time of writing, with many Redditors comparing the clip to an Orc attack from The Lord of the Rings movies.

While Breath of the Wild's Lizalfos can be found in groups, their attacks aren't usually as coordinated as the one seen in the Reddit clip. The chameleon-like enemies are seen hurling themselves over the rocks and hills of the Hyrulian location in order to attack the player, making them seem infinitely more terrifying than they would be in a typical Lizalfos encounter. Players hoping to see the same attack formation during their own playthrough might be out of luck, as replicating the encounter will likely require a lot of luck.
Despite now being four years old, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild continues to surprise and delight its millions of fans. Players are still making new discoveries within the game, whether they be hard-to-discover sidequests or hidden BOTW dialogue seen when Link is naked. It's hoped that Breath of the Wild 2's world will be as rich and full as its predecessor's when it launches on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2022.
