90 Day Fiancé: Why Nicole Nafziger Still Likes To Shock Fans & Critics
Azan Tefou’s ex from 90 Day Fiancé, Nicole Nafziger continues to startle her fans and critics alike despite laying low on Instagram. Nicole and her Moroccan beau Azan were a standout pair of 90 Day Fiancé seasons 4 and 5 apart from being a 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? spin-off couple. Florida-based Nicole felt an instant connection with Azan after meeting on a dating app, but their relationship was a little off to begin with. Some even wondered if Azan was interested in Nicole at all as others accused her of impersonating him on IG. Considering her history of shocking TLC viewers, Nicole has them more angered after her breakup.
Nicole has not returned to the show since her HEA appearance and was in a long-distance relationship with Azan although they never seemed happy together. Azan was known to make offensive remarks about Nicole, claim he was only 55% attracted to her, and also ignore her calls. In September 2019, Nicole announced they were leaving 90 Day Fiancé while “getting stronger as a couple.” But after Nicole removed the “Engaged to H” and ring emoji from her IG bio, all signs pointed to her and Azan’s split.
However, fans had questioned Nicole and Azan’s relationship status for a long time, and the rumors grew stronger when she returned to the States. Nicole was also not wearing her engagement ring, which suggested she and Azan were fighting or were over for good. It was in July that Nicole confirmed she and Azan had gone their separate ways. Alas, Nicole didn’t get the reaction she expected as she had made the announcement using clickbait.
Fans will remember when Nicole stirred up rumors of being pregnant by posting an ultrasound that wasn’t hers. Over time, Nicole shared more controversial posts, one of which suggested Azan was dead. In October 2020, Nicole admitted that she works “for a company that posts articles to my account.” She also added that she gets “paid per so many clicks” which given the shock value of the posts must have been high.
“I mean we all need bread right? I just get mine from a different place than yours,” the 90 Day Fiancé celeb argued. Nicole has continued posting more fake pregnancy news and very recently shared misleading information about Angela Deem and a sensationalized post hinting at her own death.
In August this year, ShowbizCheatSheet reported that Nicole was supposedly spotted on a dating app. A fan came across what appeared to be Nicole’s profile on Hinge, although it's unclear if Nicole is behind it herself or if someone else is pretending to be her. “All I ask is that you: Send me a message first and let’s see if we vibe,” her alleged profile said and also carried a couple of her selfies.
A recent Instagram post by Nicole confirmed she’d made a “big decision” in her life. Nicole shared that she’s enrolled in college and is doing prereqs to get into the Radiology program. Fans were supportive of Nicole’s decision but they also applauded her saying that she had ended things with Azan to “focus on what’s important.”
Although Nicole may be on her way to a higher education and the job of her dreams, it’s likely she’ll continue posting the sketchy links to her IG page. It’s difficult to stay relevant even if one has been a household name on reality TV. While Nicole could be doing it for the money, it also keeps people gossiping about her on the internet. Perhaps now that her fifteen minutes of fame with Azan are over, Nicole wants to become an influencer on Instagram. However, fans don't enjoy seeing Nicole hawking products such as slimming teas and weight loss programs. It's also making 90 Day Fiancé viewers wonder if, after Danielle Jbali, Nicole will be the next iconic and scorned ex to appear on 90 Day: The Single Life.
