Dexter: New Blood Episode 2 Images Show Dexter & Harrison In The Woods
New images from Dexter: New Blood reveal a closer look at Dexter and Harrison in the woods. Following its debut in 2006, Dexter quickly became one of Showtime’s most popular offerings, with Michael C. Hall earning numerous accolades for his portrayal of the anti-hero. After eight action-packed seasons of Dexter, the show signed off with one of the most controversial finales in television history. In the final episode, serial killer Dexter Morgan staged his death after the demise of his sister, Debra (Jennifer Carpenter), and became an isolated lumberjack in Oregon.
Last year, Showtime announced that Dexter would return for a 10-episode limited series, with Hall slated to reprise his role. Helmed by original showrunner Clyde Phillips, Dexter: New Blood sees the title character living under the pseudonym of Jim Lindsay in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Showtime continues to drum up excitement for the reboot series ahead of its November premiere after unveiling the official Dexter: New Blood trailer and confirming the return of Dexter’s son, Harrison, played by Jack Alcott.
Showtime (via DexterDaily), released new images from Dexter: New Blood, which takes a closer look at episode 2, titled “Storm Of Fuck.” Highlighting a scene that takes place during winter, the images reveal Dexter alone in the woods, as well as Dexter and Harrison standing behind Sergeant Logan (Alano Miller), which seems to indicate a crime has occurred. Check out the images below:
Starring Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jamie Chung, Julia Jones, and Clancy Brown (who plays the new villain), New Blood takes place over two weeks. Of course, centering on Dexter and his family does seem to be the priority for New Blood. Alcott as grown-up Harrison will be introduced in episode 1, and Debra (Carpenter) as Dexter’s new Dark Passenger, will be a strong presence throughout the limited series. At this time, Dexter’s former partner, Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski), is not expected to make an appearance in Iron Lake.
Indeed, Harrison’s return to Dexter's life a decade later has led to speculations that Dexter's son may have followed in his serial killer father's footsteps. According to the images from New Blood, Dexter and Harrison appear to be on good terms with the police force of Iron Lake. However, it remains to be seen if they played a hand in whatever crime is under investigation. For now, fans will have to wait a little longer to see why Dexter and Harrison are venturing into the woods. Dexter: New Blood debuts on Showtime on November 7.
