RHONY: Andy Cohen Reveals IG Post That Ended Carole Radziwill’s TV Career
Andy Cohen, the king of Bravo, is opening up about the Instagram posts that ended Carole Radziwill's time on The Real Housewives of New York City after season 10. Throughout the years, Andy has been involved in many reported feuds with some of the Housewives across all franchises, but there's one exchange between him and Carole that changed the course of her RHONY career and her relationship with the Bravo exec forever. And it all began with some shady Instagram posts from the New York City socialite and journalist.
Carole joined RHONY back in 2012 for season 5. She was instantly fascinating to viewers, given her connections to the Kennedy family. Carole was close with John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, due to her marriage to Anthony Radziwell, Jackie Kennedy's nephew. Anthony died from cancer in 1999 and Carole began to dive into her career in journalism, namely with ABC News, and the New York City social scene, which eventually led to her being cast on RHONY. During her time on the show, Carole was never one to hold back her opinions on anything going on with the women and she was often the voice of reason among them. Her closest friendship on the show was with Bethenny Frankel, though the two had a major falling out in season 10. That fight with Bethenny must have left her with a bad taste in her mouth because, in the hiatus between season 10 and 11, Carole spent her time trolling RHONY and her former castmates on Twitter and Instagram. Some of those posts reportedly led to her not being asked to return for another season and ended her relationship with Andy.

In Dave Quinn's Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It, both Andy and Carole commented on her departure from the show and why they are no longer close. An excerpt from the book, via E! News, explains that an incident took place between the host and Carole at the season 10 RHONY reunion, when she accused Andy of being "scared" of Bethenny. Fans have long believed that this is what led to Andy being so offended that he didn't ask her back for another season. But the book reveals that Carole and Andy's feud didn't really get all that heated until she posted a poll on Instagram after the reunion asking her followers, "Did you ever do something for money that you thought was against your values but you did it anyway?" Andy saw the post and felt that Carole was shading her time on RHONY.
Andy says in Not All Diamonds and Rose that he felt the post was implying that she was leaving a toxic situation, or at least saying that the show wasn't something she believed in any longer. He told Quinn, "It really rubbed me the wrong way because I really felt like I had changed her life over, what, six years?" For her part, Carole said that Andy went "ballistic" in further exchanges about her Instagram post, which she claimed was just her way of doing some soul searching. Still, at the end of the day, she told the Watch What Happens Live host to never speak to her again.
Andy says that he's since respected her wish and no longer speaks at all to Carole who, he claims, is no longer the same woman he met all those years ago when he brought her onto The Real Housewives of New York City. Their feud is also ongoing, given that since the release of the book, Carole's responded to his comments in it that he really "changed her life. Carole tweeted, "Just another man telling a woman she ought to be more grateful. Housewives changed Andy Cohen's life, not mine. And Bravo built a 100million dollar franchise on the backs of women. Let's not get it twisted," complete with a little flexing muscle emoji.
Cohen hasn't responded to her tweet, but given that the book was published by his own company, it's likely he stands by his word. Let Carole and Andy's feud be a lesson to all Housewives: don't troll his show on social media if you can help it.
