Simon Kjaer has extended his contract with Milan until June 2024.
The 32-year-old arrived at the club in January 2020 and his deal at San Siro was due to expire in the summer.
However, the Rossoneri have just announced the Dane’s contract extension for two more years.
The former Atalanta and Palermo defender has played 66 games in a Rossoneri shirt, scoring one goal.
Kjaer is one of the candidates for the Ballon d’Or as a reward for the life-saving aid he gave to Christian Eriksen when his compatriot collapsed during Denmark’s UEFA Euro 2020 clash against Finland last summer.
Kjaer has played 138 Serie A games in his career with Roma, Atalanta and Palermo.
The Rossoneri would want to extend one more contract in the coming months as Franck Kessié’s deal also expires in the summer.
However, the club’s CEO Ivan Gazidis has dropped a hint that the Ivorian star may not extend his stay at the club saying that agents act live COVID never happened.
