The Mandalorian's Ahsoka Finally Becoming Vintage Series Action Figure
Rosario Dawson's portrayal of Jedi survivor Ahsoka Tano finally joins Hasbro's Vintage Series range of action figures based on The Mandalorian series on Disney+. The Jedi follows characters such as Pedro Pascal's lone Mandalorian Din Djarin and Giancarlo Esposito's menacing Moff Gideon in Hasbro's range of merchandise based upon the hit Disney+ series.
During season 2 of The Mandalorian, fans were treated to the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano. Fighting against the magistrate Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) and her mercenaries in a walled village on Corvus, Din was tasked with dispatching the Jedi in exchange for information on the then-unknown Grogu's people. After a brief fight, Din and Ahsoka teamed up to take on the magistrate's forces, with the pair parting ways as Din headed to Jedi ruins on Tython and Ahsoka searched for the seemingly lost Grand Admiral Thrawn. Ahsoka will return in her own series, with Hayden Christensen set to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, but until then, fans can now have her join their collections.
Star Wars announced Dawson's Ahsoka Tano will be immortalized in the form of a Hasbro Vintage Series action figure. Based upon her Corvus attire from her Mandalorian appearance, the figure will join Hasbro's The Vintage Collection line and will have a likeness to Dawson, as well as her two white lightsabers. Announced alongside her was a Vintage Collection action figure of the Death Watch Mandalorian as seen in flashbacks to Din's childhood, as well as a Black Series figure of Werner Herzog's mysterious client, complete with tracking fob and camtono of Beskar ingots. These figures will be released throughout 2022, though pre-orders start on October 27 at 10 AM PST. Check out images of the figures below.
These are the latest additions to join Hasbro's long-running range of Star Wars merchandise, following a number of Mandalorian-themed reveals during Hasbro's Pulsecon event, such as Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant). The Vintage Collection and Black Series lines started in 2010 and 2013 respectively, with a focus on bringing the franchise's iconic heroes, villains, and scoundrels to fans in a super-articulated, highly detailed form. Hasbro has since created figures based upon not only the films, but video games such as Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order, and animated series such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels.
Ahsoka joining Hasbro's range of Star Wars merchandise sees the company expand further into The Mandalorian season 2, with much of season 1's cast already being produced in figure form, such as IG-11 (Taika Waititi) and Kuiil (Nick Nolte). With one Jedi joining the collection, fans can now potentially await other familiar faces, such as Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). With the Star Wars universe ever-expanding, Hasbro has a never-ending supply of characters to choose from.
