Chelsea qualify for Champions League after Arsenal’s collapse at Newcastle with Blues guaranteed top-four finish
CHELSEA have qualified for the Champions League following Arsenal’s dismal 2-0 loss to Newcastle on Monday night.
The Blues’ spot in next season’s elite European competition was under threat after a defeat to Everton, and a draw with Wolves at the start of May.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have occupied third spot for most of the season.
However, the Gunners were hot on the Blues’ heels with only a few games left of the current campaign.
But Chelsea’s win against Leeds in their last outing, coupled with Arsenal’s self-implosion at St.James’ Park, has ensured the Blues WILL play alongside Europe’s best in the upcoming campaign.
A Ben White own goal and a late Bruno Guimaraes strike saw the Magpies collect all three points on Tyneside.

Arsenal are four points behind the Blues with only one game left.
And even if Tottenham leapfrog the Blues into third, the West London club are still assured to be in the top four.
Chelsea have two games left and are two points ahead of Spurs who have one match on their schedule to play.
The news will be welcomed by Chelsea fans after a difficult season for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
