'The Boys' are back in town and as gory as ever in Season 3 trailer

The official trailer for The Boys season 3 has arrived, and it's as brutal and gory as ever.

Continuing to follow the titular Boys' quest to stop dangerous and corrupt superheroes, Season 3 picks up with antagonist Homelander (Antony Starr) reestablishing his positive public image after the events of the previous season. Meanwhile, the Boys' leader Billy (Karl Urban) is at odds with Hughie (Jack Quaid), who has taken a job with Congresswoman Neuman (Claudia Doumit) to try stopping so-called superheroes through more bureaucratic means.

Of course, it seems Hughie will soon realise Billy's much more bloody methods are much more likely to produce results. Billy also appears to be upping the ante, getting access to some (temporary) superpowers of his own.

Season 3 of The Boys premieres June 3 on Prime Video.
