Best Platinum Jubilee merchandise and where to buy
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is undoubtedly a time for joy and celebration.
But Royal Family fans also know that this year, celebrating Her Majesty’s 70-year reign, is a historic occasion.
Therefore, buying a piece of Platinum Jubilee merchandise – whether it be a decorative biscuit tin or a fancy piece of commemorative china – makes a lot of sense.
It could be a keepsake, or something to pass down through the generations, like a coin. Or something fun, or even edible, to mark the occasion during the four-day bank holiday weekend.
There are plenty of Platinum Jubilee-themed items to choose from, including mugs, coins, china, tea towels, prints, corgi-themed decorations and even a (sold out) Barbie doll of The Queen.

The Royal Mint’s Platinum Jubilee £5 coin
Coin collectors will want to purchase this uncirculated, silver £5 coin, devoted to the Jubilee. It features an image of The Queen on horseback, as she is a keen equestrian.
Currently, the product is ‘awaiting stock’ – meaning more should be available to buy shortly. It’s not totally sold out.

Buttery shortbread biscuits made in the Scottish Highlands? We’re already sold.

If you don’t already know: The Queen loves corgis, and has owned many of these adorable pups throughout her life.

Platinum Jubilee Radley tote bag
If you’re keen to spend more than a few tenners and love to collect handbags, then the special edition Jubilee Radley is a must buy.
It’s a shocking blue colour, with red, white and blue-striped handles representing the Union Jack flag. The bag’s design shows the Radley dog, a sketch of Buckingham Palace and two beefeaters standing at the gates.
There’s also a smaller, similar bag if you’d prefer to spend less.

Goviers’ exclusive Platinum Jubilee plate
Anyone still looking for a commemorative plate should try Goviers, which still has a range for sale.
This one is an exclusive to Goviers, and features a delicate and tradition pattern by Royal Commemorative designer Caroline Dadd, in muted colours and with a large E II R logo in the centre.

Platinum Jubilee souvenir spoons
This four-piece set of souvenir spoons is quite an interesting keepsake. Each spoon has atop it either a crown, orb, sceptre or throne – all symbols of monarchy and The Queen.
Sadly, these spoons aren’t silver – more golden in appearance – though they’re made of lead-free pewter.

Selfridges’ Jubilee hamper
If you’ve got cash to splash and fancy an edible treat on Jubilee weekend, then this Selfridges hamper is worth looking at.
It contains Walkers shortbreads, Platinum Jubilee tea from Ahmad, salted caramel chocolate crowns from House of Dorchester and more, along with commemorative tins you can keep and a wicker basket.

Another one for coin collectors – this time a special 50p piece, notable for the large ’70’ printed on one side.
Again, the coin is uncirculated, and is ‘awaiting stock’ – so you should be able to pick one up soon.

This small side plate is a more affordable option for someone hoping to purchase a commemorative Jubilee plate.
On this pink-hued plate, handmade in pottery capital Stoke-on-Trent, there is a portrait of Her Majesty in the centre, with a ribbon stating ‘The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee’ underneath.

A simple memento from the Jubilee year is the official programme, noting the many events held in honour of The Queen as well as detailing some of her history.

A tea towel feels like a classic royal memorabilia item to purchase.
This one doesn’t have The Queen’s face on it – but is modern and elegant with a a swirled crown pattern in regal purple.
This design forms the basis of The Royal Collections’ entire Emblem range, which was dreamed up by a 19-year-old graphic design student from Nottingham called Edward Roberts.

Perhaps an ideal buy for a mum, grandma or any fan of classic fashion, this blue and pink square scarf interprets Arnold Machin’s iconic image of Queen Elizabeth II’s crown-wearing head.

This slim, dainty bone china mug from Fortnum & Mason is a limited edition, made by Walpole.
On the outside, it features a number of symbols representing The Queen’s passions and interests, including a crown, horses and even her wedding bouquet flower, lily of the valley.

Harrods large Platinum Jubilee bag
Many a tourist visiting the UK capital, London, will be keen to come away with a Harrods shopping bag.
They’re in luck – as Harrods are offering a few special edition tote bags for the Platinum Jubilee. One such option is a roomy, cotton shopper in beige with a large ER and crown emblem on either side.

And sadly sold out… the Platinum Jubilee Barbie
Yep, toy brand Mattel did indeed release a special Barbie doll of The Queen in honour of the Platinum Jubilee.
The doll featured a younger-looking, grey-haired Elizabeth wearing a full-length white gown and blue sash, along with a jewelled tiara, dangly earrings and a bold necklace.
Alas, the doll sold out in a reported three seconds when it first went on sale on April 20. At the time, John Lewis listed the doll for £94.99, but Mattel’s site listed the original price at $75 (£60).
There’s no word yet on whether more Barbie stock is coming. But if it does… you just know it’ll sell out fast.
