The victims of last night’s car jacking were a man and woman in their 20s, Harris said. I believe details of a female victim is new. Uniformed and plainclothes officers continue to patrol citywide and make arrests in auto theft cases, he said.
“Evidence suggests this was a crime of opportunity,” Harris said. Said the victims complied and that’s exactly what police suggest victims of carjackings do.
“There is a definite level of sophistication,” among these carjacking groups Harris said. Too early to say if there is a more organized element to last night’s carjacking
