Foreign Affairs Committee: Finland should apply for a NATO membership

The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament agrees with the Government position that Finland must apply for membership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to strengthen its security. The Committee also proposes that Parliament adopts an opinion in a plenary session requiring the Government to keep Parliament informed of the progress of the membership process. The Committee issued its report on two government reports on Tuesday, May 17.
