Business organisations Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) and Business Unity South Africa (Busa) last week published a report, compiled by researchers Intellidex, investigating funding options for a basic income grant (BIG), BLSA CEO Busi Mavuso notes in her weekly newsletter. She outlines that the report makes it clear that the BIG can be funded in only three ways, namely, cutting other expenditure, issuing more debt or raising taxes.
