3-time PGA Tour winner Robert Gamez faces misdemeanor charge

Three-time PGA Tour winner Robert Gamez was released from a Florida jail following his arrest on misdemeanor battery charges Sunday.

Gamez, 54, was arrested at a home in the Bay Hill area of Orlando following an alleged incident Saturday night.

The battery charge involves "actually and intentionally" touching or hitting another person "against the will of the other," per the Florida statute.
