Three shot at Oakland Tech high school campus
OAKLAND — A man, a woman and a girl were shot Sunday at a city high school campus, authorities said.
Shortly before 1:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a possible shooting at Oakland Technical High School, 4351 Broadway.
When officers arrived, they were directed to the school’s football field near the campus’ 42nd Street side, where several hundred people had been attending a youth football game. Officers found a 30-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds to his feet and his lower torso.
Firefighters and paramedics also responded to the scene, providing care before transporting the man to a hospital. He was later listed in stable condition.
Police later learned that a family at the game took their 6-year-old girl to a nearby home, where an ambulance took her to another hospital. She was also listed in stable condition.
Around 3 p.m., a 52-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg walked into a third hospital, authorities said. She was later listed in stable condition.
Investigators did not share any information about a possible suspect or associated vehicle description.
