I’m a baby naming expert & these are the vintage names due to make a comeback
A BABY name consultant has predicated the vintage monikers she thinks will make a comeback.
Morgan, who is from the US and posts under the acronym @hellomorgantimm, took to TikTok where she shared some baby names that haven’t been used in 50 or more years.
In the clip, she begins: “I found these on the top 1,000 list from 1912 – let’s go in alphabetical order.”
“First is Althea. I’ve talked about this one before – it hasn’t ranked since 1972.”
Parents are going to love it because the name Thea is very trendy right now and it’s an alternative and feminine version of Theo.”
She continues: “Next is Arlie which is going to be considered a wispy name – it’s very soft sounding.”

Morgan then moves onto the name Audie, which hasn’t ranked since 1922 and falls under the umbrella of names she considers to be “cool girl names.”
“Augustine – feminine names always fall into masculine names and trends so August is trendy right now,” Morgan proceeds to explain.

“Golden hasn’t ranked since 1921 – it ranked for boys for a little bit longer…a lot of people love Goldie but think it seems too nicknamey.”
Among Morgan’s other name predictions include Jettie, which hasn’t ranked since 1937, and Ossie, which hasn’t placed since 1934.

“People are really liking Ozzie right now and I think Ossie is the more laid back version – it’s more effortlessly cool while Ozzie is trying to be cool,” she says.
The baby name expert also predicts that Vella, Verlia and Verona – which haven’t ranked since 1915, 1931 and 1932 respectively – will make a comeback.
She adds: “I could write an entire love sonnet for the name Wilda. It’s such a great name.”
The post has garnered an impressive 5.5 million views and been flooded with comments – but not everyone is convinced by some of the monikers.
“Otherwise known as a list of names that will get your kid teased,” one person quipped.
A second wrote: “I reckon Stevie for a girl will make a comeback.”
A third commented: “Love Althea. We named our baby girl Stealie after the Grateful Dead!”
