Watch as driver overtakes FOUR cars in a row by driving the wrong way down the road – and it’s dividing viewers
THIS is the moment a driver overtook four cars by driving down the wrong side of the road on a country lane.
The footage, filmed in Northumberland, left viewers divided over whether the manoeuvre was justified.
Taking to TikTok, the motorist responsible claimed the drivers in front were driving too slowly.
He claimed many had been travelling far below the single carriageway limit of 60mph permitted for cars and motorcycles.
In the clip, he joked: “The programmer of these NPC’s didn’t include the country driving patch.
“So they were only installed with the city driving skills, which meant they formed a bit of a road train out on the country roads.

“I just had to make way past.”
The footage has now been viewed more thousand of times and picked up over 200 comments with viewers debating over whether it was right.
“Nothing more frustrating than a driver sitting at 45ish all the way down country roads no matter what the speed limit is” one motorist said.
“I’d be happy overtaking all them nuggets,” another replied.

A third claimed: “Great bit of road for overtaking. All safe. Plenty of room. Plenty of line of sight. Textbook.”
Others meanwhile were less than impressed.
“Risking lives to get to your destination 8 seconds earlier,” one slammed.
“50 is fine it’s a limit not a target,” another said.
While a third penned: “No point, you don’t get to your destination faster. They will catch up at the next lights in comfort.”
According to the RAC, it is only illegal to overtake on a single carriage country road if there are signs or road markings clearly prohibiting it, or if it’s done in an unsafe, reckless or uncontrolled way.
Examples of this include when you don’t have clear visibility of the road ahead or if you must break the speed limit in order to overtake.
In rare case, overtaking on a single carriageway can lead to serious accidents.
