Premier League next manager to leave odds: Graham Potter odds-on to quit role amid Chelsea interest
BOOKMAKERS Betfair have made Graham Potter an odds-on shot to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.
That follows increased speculation around the newly-vacated Chelsea job, which Potter is a frontrunner for.

Potter is now 8/11 to be the next Premier League boss to vacate his role – although this time it WON’T be down to a sacking.
He has his side playing some of the best football in the league and is getting results to go with it, with Brighton in fourth place.
Thomas Tuchel was around 6/1 to be the next manager to leave and become the second casualty of the season after Scott Parker’s sacking earlier in the campaign.
But he was relieved of his duties on Wednesday morning following a poor 1-0 defeat away to Dinamo Zagreb.
Brendan Rodgers had shortened into 1/5 before Betfair revealed they weren’t taking any more bets on this market before Tuchel’s dismissal.
Rodgers is now Evens with Betfair to be the next manager gone this season.
He too is in the mix to succeed Tuchel at Chelsea, a club he knows well.
However, the Foxes have taken just one point from a possible 15 in their opening five matches, and sit bottom of the division.
It was a turbulent summer for Leicester, who lost French centre-back Wesley Fofana to Chelsea in a deal worth £70million.
Next manager to leave their role (3rd)
Betfair odds
- Graham Potter 8/11
- Brendan Rodgers EVS
- Steven Gerrard 8/1
- Frank Lampard 14/1
- Ralph Hassenhuttl 20/1
- Jesse Marsch 25.1
- Marco Silva 25/1
- Bruno Lage 25/1
- Steve Cooper 25/1
However, Rodgers only had a fraction of that to spend, with Wout Faes joining from Reims as a replacement for just over £15million – while Alex Smithies joined on a free.
Steven Gerrard went into the weekend just behind Rodgers at the top of the market.
His team got him out a bit of trouble when drawing with Manchester City on Saturday evening and the pressure lifted off him for the time being and is now 8/1 to be the next to leave.
Wolves boss Bruno Lage and Everton’s Frank Lampard were also amongst those at the top before positive weekend results saw them move to double-figure odds.
