Pedestrian, 72, grievously injured when hit by car in Mellieħa

A 72-year-old woman suffered grievous injuries when on Wednesday afternoon she was hit by a car in Mellieħa.

The police said the accident happened at around 12.30pm on Triq il-Kbira.

The driver of the Toyota Vitz - a 74-year-old man, and the pedestrian, are both from Mellieħa.

Police investigations are ongoing.
