UK gives go-ahead to new Pfizer Covid booster for age 12 and up

LONDON, England: The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has approved Pfizer-BioNTech's new COVID-19 booster shot for people aged 12 and over.

The decision of the UK regulator was based upon data from a clinical trial that showed a booster dose with the new vaccine triggers a strong immune response against both the original and Omicron variants of COVID-19.
