Masked Dancer fans convinced they’ve ‘worked out’ who Pillar and Post are from ‘Dancing On Ice’ clue

FANS of The Masked Dancer are convinced they have “worked out” Pillar and Post are from Dancing On Ice thanks to a huge clue.

Viewers took to social media this week to speculate that the pair could be professional skaters after noticing a subtle nod towards the ITV ice-dancing competition.

Pillar and Post took to the dance floor for the first time over the weekend to show off their impressive dance moves.

The couple were seen pulling off incredible lifts, as the male celebrity character threw the female character up into the air during their performance to Please Mr Postman by The Marvelettes.

As well as their impressive aerial fats, eagle-eyed fans also noted how the pair made references to ice skating and being on TV together.

It led viewers at home to believe that the celebrity couple behind the mask are professional skaters Sylvian and Samia Longchambon.

French ice dancer Sylvian, 42, was one of the professional skating coaching on Dancing On Ice, while his wife Samia, 40, is known for playing Maria Connor in Coronation Street.

The soap actress took part in Dancing On Ice back in 2013 – where she was partnered with the pro skater.

The pair ended up getting together shortly after the show, and were engaged two years later in 2015, before getting married in 2016.

The welcomed their son, Yves Joseph Longchambon, shortly before their glamorous wedding day .

Taking to Twitter to speculate it could be the pair, one fan said: “Two obvious Dancing On Ice lift moves.”

Another chimed in: “WITHOUT A DOUBT I’d recognise those Dancing on Ice moves anywhere. Maybe professionals?”

“Pillar and post are definitely figure skaters from Dancing On Ice,” a third agreed.

It comes after Masked Dancer fans were certain they had worked out that Pillar and Post are David Seaman and wife Frankie.

One viewer said: “OK I find the masked dancer very hard but pillar and post is 100% David Seaman and his wife!

Another wrote: “Putting it out there early doors… The Letters and Postbox duo on the Masked Dancer aren’t Ant & Dec – they’re David and Frankie Seaman!!

A third said: “Thinking pillar and post might be David Seaman and his professional ice skating wife he met on Dancing On Ice?”
