North Dakota judge denies state’s request to let abortion ban take effect

Burleigh County District Judge Bruce Romanick in August blocked the state's total block on abortion a day before it was due to take effect. State lawyers requested him to lift the stay on the ban saying that the state will likely win on appeal, but Romanick wrote in his denial that "the court is not convinced by the state's argument."
