ONE of Strictly Come Dancing’s top pros is already “frustrated” with their celebrity partner, according to a body language expert.

She told MirrorOnline of her body language analysis after the Strictly Come Dancing pro was paired with ex footie ace, Tony Adams.

The pair chatted to Strictly host Claudia Winkleman on the show’s launch, ahead of today’s live episode.

Yet Judi was not convinced by their smiles as the pairings were revealed and told the publication: “Katya always looks like the dancer with the strongest urge to win Strictly and when she saw she’s been paired with Tony Adams, a hero on the pitch but looking mightily leaden-footed on the dancefloor.

“Her body language signals suggested frustration. Her smile of greeting looked more like a baring of the teeth as she clasped and shook his hands as she told him ‘We’re a team now’.

“Her hand gestures became staccato as they sat together with Claudia.

“Poor Tony stood waiting for her with his hands stuffed into his pockets in a gesture that suggests a desire to hide.”

In a telling comment after the BBC One show aired, Judi added: “Katya’s pat on his shoulder looked reassuring but her facial cues suggested she could feel that glitter ball slipping from her grasp once again.”

Meanwhile, during last night’s excitement, some Strictly fans were left irked and admitted the launch show was “grating” on them.

They called out the “enthusiastic” responses of celebrities when met with their Strictly professional partner.

BBC viewers were quickly irritated by what they branded “fake” emotions of happiness when each couple was revealed.

One took to Twitter to write: “OMG the fake excitement when the pros meet the celebs,” as another questioned: “What’s with all the fake excitement.”

A third commented: “The fake surprise of being thrilled at the pairings (or even knowing who the other one is) is actually really grating this year.”
