Newcastle will now have to reassess their transfer targets after some news emerged regarding Watford forward Joao Pedro.

Fabrizio Romano claimed in the summer that a deal to take Pedro to Newcastle was close to completion.

However, a move failed to materialise before the end of the transfer window.

Now, Watford have announced that Pedro has signed a new deal to keep him at the club until 2028.
