Three members of the organisation were also arrested by state security agencies from Barabanki and Lucknow on Friday under similar sections while one, Wasim Ahmed, the division president of the PFI was arrested on Thursday. Ahmed had also been arrested in 2019 when protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Lucknow turned violent, killing one and injuring many.
