People are only just realising the right way to use a stock cube when cooking & it’s so much easier
A TIKTOK user has revealed the supposed right way to use a stock cube when cooking, which makes things much easier.
The social media user known as “CherryCooks” uploaded a short video to reveal the cunning culinary tip.
The post, captioned with “I was today years old when I found this out!” starts out with an ordinary looking beef-flavour stock cube, wrapped in its shiny red packaging.
The voiceover says: “Am I the only one that didn’t know this… turns into this.”
As the person is speaking, a hand appears holding a similar stock cube but this one has been flattened.
The footage then cuts to someone fiddling about trying the open up the square stock cube and having trouble opening it.
After a while the person reveals the hack by simply squashing the cube, still wrapped in its foil, between their fingers.
Then cooks can simply tear off a corner and pour the crumbled granules straight into hot water or whatever they are cooking.
The post certainly hit a cord with TikTok users as has been viewed nearly 135,000 times and gained more than 2,000 likes.
While some commentators said they already aware of the tip clearly many didn’t know.
One grateful person wrote: “Didn’t know this, thanks!”
Another one added: “At the age of 51, I did not known this.”
A third echoed those views by saying: “I’m 50, why didn’t I know this?
Some though, claimed to have known about it for years.
One commentator said: “My mum showed me how to do this almost 30 year ago.”
Another chipped in with: “Being doing this for years.”
Elsewhere, another TikTok user revealed their air fryer hack.
User Ashlea’s Kitchen, whose profile is @ashleas_kitchen, shared the handy trick to remove food from an air fryer after spotting it on someone else’s account.
She then showed how you simply wrap some tin foil around the dishes, including the bottom, to create a fake handle.
Last month, a woman also went onto the site to reveal her hack for saving cooking time on Christmas Day.
Claire, known online as @deliciousandreal, regularly shares family meal ideas with her 1,179 followers.
In one of her recent videos, she shares her clever idea to part-cook and then freeze her roast potatoes, to save time on Christmas day.
She then puts them straight in the oven with turkey, and they’re ready within an hour.
Earlier this year, another TikTok user revealed their cooking tip to help save on their energy bills.
Adrian Ghervan, from London, sparked a frenzy after showing his followers how he heats up his dinners.
In the video – which has racked up over 8.6 million views and 780,000 likes – savvy Adrian places tealight candles on his cooker.
He then lights them and starts frying an egg – and even claims the technique “worked well”.
