Married At First Sight Uk couple set for ‘explosive’ Christmas special reunion tonight
MARRIED At First Sight UK’s Chanita Stephenson and Jordan Emmett-Connelly are set for an “explosive” Christmas special reunion tonight.
Jordan Emmett-Connelly and Chanita Stephenson will find it “tricky to come back together’” during the show’s Christmas special, it’s been revealed.
The pair tied the knot as part of this year’s series of the E4 show – but had secretly split after Jordan “stopped making an effort” to see his TV wife and “cut her off”.
Months after filming wrapped on the series, the social worker, 30, admitted that she finally has “closure” after being brutally dumped on TV.
Ahead of Sunday’s Christmas special, Chanita said it can be emotional to watch herself on TV as she is forced to “relive the feelings” all over again, despite the series ending months ago.
As they come face-to-face following their dramatic split, relationship expert Charlene Douglas has revealed that the couple will find it hard to find their way back to each other after the reunion.

Charlene said: “I’m keen to see how Jordan [Emmett-Connelly] and Chanita [Stephenson] find that union. It’s been a while and I’m not sure if they’ve been in touch. From my understanding, they were friends so I’m not sure whether they’ll remain the same or not.
She continued: “It’s always super awkward to see an ex at an event knowing they’re going to be there. It will be interesting to see how that pans out and I can imagine they’ll both be quite nervous.”
The relationship specialist shared that feel it will be “tricky” for the pair to come back together as there’s ” so many eyes on them waiting to see what happens”.
The expert added: “I do believe that they have learnt a lot about themselves, relationships and what they need from relationships. I’m hopeful that they have still remained friends.”
E4 bosses are hoping the Christmas spin-off will be a success.
A TV insider said: “Bosses are over the moon with the success of this series so far and thought a Christmas spin-off would be the perfect way to capitalise on that.
“It’s going to be a similar format to the Love Island special in 2018, with the biggest stars from this series and previous ones staying together in a big country house.”
Fans of the show can expect to see “tears, romance, and plenty of old wounds reopened” in the Christmas reunion.
The source added: “It’s going to be a real Christmas cracker that will get the festive season off to a bang.”
