Harry Kane has taken to social media to admit that he is heartbroken after England’s loss to France and the striker took full responsibility for the result.
Even though Kane became England’s joint-highest goalscorer by equaling Wayne Rooney’s tally of 53 goals on Saturday, the Tottenham man will not have fond memories of the day, owing to how things eventually ended.

The 29-year-old had the opportunity to bring England level in the 84th minute by beating his Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris from the penalty spot for a second time, but he failed to hit the target.
Kane understandably looked crushed after the final whistle and he said in his post-match interview with ITV that he was to blame for failing to convert the penalty, and remarked that he was proud of his teammates for their efforts throughout the tournament.
The striker has now taken to social media to convey a similar sentiment, admitting that he is hurting after the result.

There is no doubt that Saturday would have been one of the hardest days of Kane’s career and it will continue to irk him for a long time. However, if there is anyone who is capable of putting the penalty miss behind him, it is the 29-year-old, given the abundance of mental strength he has. It is up to Spurs fans to sign his name and get behind him like never before when the campaign resumes.
