Luckily one beauty pro has shared some tips to help your makeup look flawless throughout the festive season too.
Instagram account @makeupsface regularly reshares useful beauty tips by other content creators.
In a recent reel, a makeup fan reveals the ten rules she follows every single day – including spraying setting spray on her face before the rest of her makeup.
“Makeup tips I wish I knew sooner.
“Setting spray is before your makeup so that your makeup can look smooth and flawless from the beginning to end.
“Blend in your foundation or your skin tints with your fingers so you can get the smoothest, skin-like finish.
“But once you clean your hands, go back in with a damp beauty sponge to make sure there are no streaks. See what I mean by smooth, skin-like?
“Avoid foundation under your eyes. Save that for concealer.
“Do make sure your under eyes are hydrated and prep for concealer.”
While applying two dots of concealer, one under her eye and one near the outer edge, she adds: “Less is more.
“Always blend upwards for a lifted look.
“Tap cream products on the back of your hand to avoid a muddy, unblended look. Also, it just looks airbrushed and flawless.
“After you’re done setting your powders in place, lightly spray your sponge with a hydrating setting mist and go back over, making sure everything is nice and blended.
“You also get the benefits from the spray and your makeup is going to look airbrushed.
Fans loved the quick and easy tips, with the video gaining more than 6,100 likes.
In the comments, fans shared their own hacks, with one writing: “The biggest mistake women make is adding concealer under the eye. I have zero wrinkles under my eyes because I have always avoided concealer under my eyes. I just apply powder. This is why you see such young girls in their 20s with wrinkly under eyes
