U.S. dollar weakens amid economic data

NEW YORK, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Tuesday as market participants digested newly released economic data.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.17 percent to 104.1510.

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.0645 U.S. dollars from 1.0619 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound decreased to 1.2031 U.S. dolla
