Wind was NE 10-15 kts by 0900, so the south ends were getting choppy. There’s just about no swell out at sea where the buoys are seeing 0.9 m at 5 seconds from the ENE. But, as the pictures show, it was possible to catch the odd knee high bump at Northy and even at Long Reef (although the waits were extremely long). Tide was low at 0640 and will be back to high at 1310. We should have a mostly sunny day too with a peak of 29 along the beaches. Ocean is clean and 21C according to Beachwatch.
We’re back to cloudy tomorrow, but the waves might be a touch bigger at the same spots they’re showing today. Unfortunately the wind call is for southerlies from first light. So, probably not terribly interesting. Weather looks like staying cloudy and showery through Saturday with more delightful onshore wind. Right now it’s not shaping to be interesting until early next week when at least some of the models are projecting solid east swell and light wind for the early Tue-Wed. It’ll be interesting to see what the Goat has to say tomorrow…
Have a great day everyone!
