BREAKING: McCarthy Loses 13th Vote For US House Speaker (Live Stream)

The House reconvened on Friday as the speaker election continued after McCarthy lost 11 ballots in a row.

Fox News reporter Chad Pergram is reporting that the ‘drama’ over the fight for House Speaker may end today.

McCarthy lost the 12th ballot on Friday, however, he picked up more votes from Republican holdouts.

213 votes for Kevin McCarthy
211 for Hakeem Jeffries
431 total. 3 absences: Buck, Hunt, Trone

McCarthy picked up 14 GOP holdout votes in the 12th round.

A 13th vote is currently underway.

McCarthy lost the 13th vote.

5 GOP lawmakers voted for Jim Jordan.
