SZA Responds to Allegations of Feuding with Taylor Swift

SZA is setting the record straight on her rumored feud with Taylor Swift.

Since the release of her sophomore album SOS a few weeks ago, SZA, 33, has racked up over 800 million clicks on streaming services, maintaining it’s No. 1 spot on the Billobard 200 for a third time, while Taylor‘s, also 33, album Midnights has been close behind in the No. 2 spot.

Then on Thursday (January 5), many people accused Taylor of trying to “block” SZA from keeping her No. 1 spot after she promoted four new digital copies of Midnights with behind-the-song bonus materials.

“It’s me! Hi! I’m taking a break from tour rehearsal to tell you…there are 4 hours left to get these four brand new Midnights Digital Albums each with unique Behind The Song bonus material!” Taylor posted on her Instagram Story, just a few short hours before Billboard’s tracking week ended.

After Taylor shared her post, SZA then announced a new digital copy of SOS with new verses on two songs, and she was then accused of using the same tactics to “block” Taylor from taking the No. 1 spot.

“There’s 1 minute left in the tracking week thank you for STREAMING SOS And copping digitalis! Thank you CAMP for always DOING YOUR BIG ONE LOVE TO EVERYONE,” SZA tweeted.

SZA then quickly added that there’s no “beef” between she and Taylor.

“Uhh I feel silly that I even have to say this but I see supporters arguing and I hate that,” SZA tweeted. “I don’t have beef w ANYONE especially not Taylor lmao I genuinely loved her album and the writing! Everyone’s jus tryna do their BEST as we all should. LOVE TO EVERYONE. Gn”

On SOS, SZA seemingly confirmed a long-standing rumor.
