I’m plus-size – my Shein spring haul was a ‘disaster’ and the pink dress looked like a ‘six-year-old’s nightgown’
A CURVY influencer has given “grandma’s tablecloth” vibes during her “disaster” of a spring Shein haul.
TikTok user Laura McKenzee tried on a series of dresses from the fashion brand.
For her first look, Laura modeled an $11 color block romper with spaghetti straps from Shein.
“I think I’m going to keep this one, I think it looks cute,” she told viewers.
Laura also tried on a casual $7 tie-dye dress with a halter neckline.
She said: “No ma’am, I don’t even think Jesus would want to see me in this. It looks like a swimsuit coverup.”
Next, the TikToker shared her thoughts on a hot pink satin dress with a thigh slit, $28.
“I got this one originally for a nice dinner on the cruise,” Laura explained as she modeled the look.
The curvy creator also showed her followers a short pink dress with flounce sleeves.
“It looks like a 6-year-old’s nightgown,” Laura’s husband said.
Next, the TikToker modeled a one-shoulder floral crop top with ruffles and matching shorts, $14.
The TikToker’s husband asked: “Is that a bathing suit? It looks like the same material.”
Laura also tried on a $17 striped color block dress with spaghetti straps.
“This is the dress I really wanted to work and it just doesn’t work. I feel like a tablecloth on my grandma’s table,” she joked.
The influencer also shared her thoughts on the green ditsy floral cami dress, $11.
She explained: “I look like I should be on my mama’s table instead of grandma’s.”
Next, Laura modeled a color block ruffle hem cami dress, $21.
“I think this is the first promising outfit. We’ll go for it,” she told her followers.
Finally, the influencer tried on a $14 black and white tie-dye romper.
“I feel like I’m on a pirate ship wearing pantaloons,” she joked.
Laura’s followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the haul.
“I actually liked the green one on you! Others too, you didn’t like the green one but I think it’s cute,” wrote one TikTok user.
Another viewer said: “Some are very cute I would just say to stay away from rompers.”
“Love them all but I think you just need to size down beautiful,” commented a third person.
