This govt school in Hubballi cries for attention

The school in question is located in RM Lohiya Nagar in Hubballi. The sewage water from the main manhole is flowing out and entering the school premises, due to which the school has been in bad shape. The children studying here are getting sick due to the smell of sewage water and the unhygienic conditions of the school. The residents of the area have been demanding that the civic authorities solve their problems, but it has not yielded any results due to unwanted trees and bushes, snakes entering the premises, and mosquitoes breeding on the school premises. The students strength is also decreasing due to a lack of development. Water from sewage enters the school premises if it rains continuously. The school development and monitoring committee member, Hanumath Davangeri, said "there are a lot of problems in the school due to a lack of development. The strength of children is decreasing, and some children left school and joined another school. We demand that this high school be convenient for children in this area." School headmistress, Shakeela Makandar, said "there are 85 students due to the problems. Some children took transfer certificates and joined other schools. Authorities should develop the school."
