Vasant Gowda has opposed Kavish's decision to join the BJP, and Kavish has expressed his intent to join the BJP and is seeking a ticket from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency. BJP spokesperson Mohan claimed on Wednesday that "he is seeking a ticket from Chamundeshwari but the party is yet to take any decision." Kavish Gowda said he is drawn towards the BJP due to its ideological and development vision. When contacted, Vasant Gowda said that he is not aware of such a development and that he would suggest against joining the BJP if he were to speak to him.
