Jamshedpur is beautifying the confluence of the Subarnarekha and Kharkai rivers. Workers started the project on Thursday afternoon, and the area will be cleaned soon. State health minister Banna Gupta said after the area is cleaned, permanent stages will be made for river "Aarti" and puja. Rs 50 lakh has been sanctioned from the minister's MLA fund for this project. The park nearby, which is near completion, will add to the attraction of the place. The minister had taken part in the recent river aarti on Makar Sankranti evening, and thousands of people from all age groups gathered at the place to watch the event. The minister announced that such river arati will be organised at Dumohini throughout the year.
