A group of 15 students from Suman High School sat down in a dharna on Thursday demanding that their previous teacher be reinstated. The teacher in question had been removed from his service recently due to irregularities in his job. The students from Suman High School are post-primary schools which are managed by civic officials, but the students started protesting claiming that they are not comfortable communicating with the new teacher. Vibhuti Pradhan, a teacher for social science, was replaced by another teacher following irregularities and long leaves. The students were later asked to return to their classes and their parents were also called to discuss the issue. The protest was discontinued later in the day.
