I got a terrible black cat tattoo done when I was 18 – I got it covered later, but it turned out even worse
A WOMAN has revealed the bad cover-up tattoo she got, and people are stunned by how it turned out.
Posting to Facebook, the woman revealed she got a ‘horrible’ black cat tattoo when she turned 18.
Five years later she decided to get it covered up and picked a design of two deep purple roses.
But she was left stunned and in tears when she that the tattoo artist had decided to take his own approach.
The woman wrote: “I can’t win! I asked him for dark purple, even black, traditional-style roses in any way that he thought could cover it for the most part.”
All was good until she saw he had totally disregarded what she asked for.
To make things worse, the tattoo was on her chest so she was unable to see what the tattoo artist was doing until he had finished.
The final tattoo didn’t cover up the bold black cat tattoo at all, instead of using block colours he decided to use a ‘watercolour technique.’
In fact, she revealed if anything the ‘cover up’ tattoo made the cat even more noticeable.
She continued: “He started out doing an okay rose in the wrong color, but for some reason decided to go for a watercolor look without telling me?!?”
“It’s been 6 years since the “cover-up”. Thanks, I still hate it,” the woman added.
People were shocked by the final results and many felt sorry for the woman.
One asked: “Please tell me you didn’t pay him for this… I’d literally cry.”
She replied: “I paid both artists (the cat artist and the “coverup” artist) I cried at home because I didn’t want to make them feel bad.”
Another person penned: “We can totally see the part where the cat still is. It’s not a cover-up at all. I’m sorry for you.”
She wrote back: “He really thought he was going to do something, I’m wondering if that’s why he decided to just say f*** it and change to watercolor and do his own thing.
“He told me “you’ll never even know the cat was there” what he did almost makes it more noticeable.”
A third person penned: “I just can’t get over this is a cover-up.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “You need some serious laser.”
“This is… So upsetting. I’m so sorry,” wrote a fifth.
