The Vadodara Bird Census found that there are only 5,000 birds at Wadhwana Lake, which is the second Ramsar site in the state. This new count is almost half of the 95,000 birds that were spotted in the 2022 census. The officials are worried about the dip in the numbers and are looking for reasons behind it. One of the main reasons is the varying water level in the lake.
