Brazil's financial market raises 2023 inflation forecast to 5.48 pct

BRASILIA, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's financial market raised its inflation forecast for both this year and the next, from 5.39 percent to 5.48 percent in 2023 and from 3.7 percent to 3.84 percent in 2024, the Central Bank of Brazil said Monday.

Target inflation for 2023 has been set at 3.25 percent and at 3 percent for 2024, with a 1.5 percentage point margin of tolerance in both cases.
