Kalaburagi power generation has been stopped in four units of the Raichur thermal power station because of technical problems. A leak was found at a boiler, and it was found that there was a technical problem at the exhaust of the pipeline of the fifth and sixth units. This prompted authorities to suspend operations. The first unit has not been operational for the past one year, and there has been a proposal to rebuild it. Currently, 560mw of power is being generated daily at the power plant.
