In the 2019 election for the post of village panchayat president in Chinna Thadagam village, the votes were recounted at Aruna Nagar community hall in Kurudampalayam. The district election officer and collector, G.S. Sameeran, will submit a report to the principal district sessions judge, P.D.J. Court, which will declare the result soon. The court ordered a recounting after officials mixed up results and announced K.S. Sudha as the winner. Sudha demanded a recounting and filed an objection petition to the returning officer.
