BHU gears up for Foundation Day celebration

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is celebrating its foundation day and republic day this year. A review meeting was held at the central office recently, and a procession of colorful tableaux will be taken out on the campus from the LD Guest House at 10:30am. A total of 32 tableaux will be included in this procession this year, the theme of which is “healthy, educated, and young India.” Basant panchami and the republic day fall on the same day this year, and according to the BJP spokesperson, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain will perform puja at the foundation site of the university at 7am on Basant panchami and it will be followed by a flag hoisting ceremony at Malviya Bhawan on the republic day. The students and nonteaching staff will be felicitated for their special works after flag hoisting on the amphitheatre ground at 9am. After that, the Vice Chancellor will hoist the flag at the International House complex. The flag hoisting ceremony will be held at all institutes, faculties, colleges, and units after hoisting the flag on the amphitheatre ground.
