#LAKings Projected Lineups LA Kings at Philadelphia Flyers; Looking for Revenge (MayorsManor
It’s funny how life works out sometimes. Coming off a disappointing home loss to the Flyers on New Year’s Eve, Kings goalie Jonathan Quick has probably been chomping at the bit to get that win back. However, when the team left SoCal last Friday, the schedule wasn’t lining up in his favor.
With three games in four nights ahead of them, and a back-to-back set kicking off that stretch, it appeared Quick was most likely on track to play in Chicago on Sunday, not in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Yet, it only took one minute of action on Saturday for plans to quickly change. Pheonix Copley was pulled, Quick played the rest of the way vs. the Predators; leaving Copley to tend goal vs. the Blackhawks.
And here we are, Quick is now available to face the Flyers.
One minor problem, though… It appears coach Todd McLellan has other ideas, and plans to go with Copley again tonight in Philadelphia.
What McLellan does with the rest of his lineup is also something to keep an eye on later today. Will he go with the same group that claimed victory in Chicago or will he put Alex Edler and/or Brendan Lemieux back in the lineup? Either is possible.
